Further, the college is accredited and re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade on both the occasions. My Dear beloved Staff, Students and other Stakeholder of this great citadel of Higher Learning! Warm and Pleasant Greetings from Principal, The SNS charitable Trust entrenched in Philanthropic and Educational pursuits had established Dr.SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) a Higher Learning Educational Institution of great repute in 1999 at Coimbatore, and Industrial hub popularly known as the” Manchester of South India”. The institution carved a niche for itself in rendering inclusive and quality education to the teaming millions of students. The College is approved by AICTE, recognized under sections 2(f) & 12(B) by the UGC Act 1956 and affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Recognizing the yeoman services provided by the college, the NAAC rightly conferred the highest grade ‘A+’ on its Accreditation and Re-Accreditation.

The College is making great strides in Teaching, Learning, Research, Extension and Consultancy after becoming Autonomous in the year 2011.The name SNS in the letter and spirit reflects all aspects of its motto Sincerity, Nobility and Service.

I am proud to pronounce that the College's vision and mission are meticulously designed and transformed into a robust autonomous structure. The status of autonomy paved the way for the transformation of study programmes and curricula into international standards. The aimsand objectives of the College are reflected on each departmental agenda. The amazing infrastructures, high tech learning resources, outcome-based teaching and learning process, object-oriented training and placement, developing moral and social values through extension activities, state of art advanced laboratories with internet facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, modern gym, Tennis courts, play fields and so onare encompassed in an environmentally friendly campus. There are two enhanced libraries with more than 35 thousand books and 200 journals and magazines with back volumes. Thousands of e- books assisted by NPTEL programme cater the needs of online certificate courses of the college.

The college has connectivity throughout the city and nearby villages with a fleet of 28 buses. We have well-furnished and disciplined hostel setup for boys and girls separately on campus. In a bird’s eye view, the college contributes to national growth by promoting the holistic development of students to become agents of social change. We encourage students to develop skills and competences to address the challenges of the competitive world. This highly enriched and enshrined campus provides a platform for students to become world-class entrepreneurs, great educators and researchers of par-excellence.
