Over the next five years, Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science plans to offer quality programmes in diversified disciplines with a lot of inbuilt flexibility. The key ingredients of high-quality learning namely knowledge, skill, competency and values will be infused into curriculum. The proposed new model will nurture critical thinking, creativity and ethics. Widening access and affordability especially for disadvantaged groups, and boosting research are the steps planned. The proposed plan will be regularly reviewed and adjusted for serving as a guide.

The college offers a world class curriculum through diversified programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce and Management at the under-graduate, post-graduate and research levels. The well documented curriculum promotes interdisciplinary learning and learning across departments within the cluster. Courses offered by industrial experts, courses on skill development, training on professional skills, international certification and online courses are important ingredients of the various programmes offered. The delivery of the curriculum and the evaluation are maintained by deploying appropriate documents and system.

The college extends its support required to take up research projects. It conducts national level seminars, conferences and workshops every year to encourage faculty members and students to present and publish their research findings. Faculty members with Ph.D. are encouraged and supported to guide research scholars leading to M.Phil./ Ph.D. degree.

Students are encouraged to undertake community-oriented activities like social work, health-hygiene awareness, medical camp, blood donation and environmental awareness. Students and teachers are provided with all necessary facilities for the smooth conduct of the extension activities.
