Governing Policy / Rules

All students and staff of the college are members of the college library. 

The library is kept open from 8.45 am to 5.00 pm on all days except Sundays and Government Holidays.

Each student is entitled to keep a book for two weeks from the date of issue. It should be returned on or before the due date specified on the due date slip. But it may be reissued to the same person if it is not wanted by someone else.

A student failing to return a book on the due date will be fined Rs. 1/- per day from the due date. (14 days after issue) Sundays and other holidays are excluded for this purpose.

Students are prohibited from underlining or writing anywhere in the books.

Periodicals lying on the table in the Library should not be removed from the reading room.

Every student / staff should scan the Bar Coded ID Card at the entrance while entering the library.

Students are requested to use all the magazines and journals in the library with care.

While borrowing books. Students are requested to verify that the books are in proper shape without any mutilation of pages or missing of pages. If any damage or scribbling is found, it should immediately be reported to the Librarian.

A student will lose the privilege of borrowing books if he / she repeatedly returns the book late or damages the books in any form.

For any mutilation of book(s) found at a later date, the last borrower of the book will be held responsible.

The librarian reserves the right to recall any book at any time.

Students who have been issued with identification cards should produce the same to the Librarian on demand.

All complaints and suggestions should in the first instance be made to the Librarian, who will, wherever necessary, refer them to the principal.

Students must return all the library books at the end of their course or at the time of their leaving the college whichever is earlier. All dues should be paid.

Transfer certificate and conduct certificate will not be issued to the students unless all the books due from them are returned.

Students are expected to use the books with care. If a book is lost / damaged, the borrower should replace the book or pay penalty TWO to FIVE times the cost of the book.
