PROMOTION OF RESEARCH
RESEARCH POLICY
We at Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science has a vision from its inception that higher education institution progresses when creation of knowledge, Dissemination of knowledge and extension of gained knowledge occurs in step wise manner.
The faculty gains knowledge and skills by active research carried out in the their field of specialization and so can disseminate the updates to learners. The updates in the field keep the inquiry based approach alive in both teachers and learners. The application of gained knowledge for helping society is the real outcome/success of any research. Research and research reputation bestows peer recognition nationally and internationally for the faculty.
College will support Infrastructural up-gradation in terms of equipment, software and hard ware procurement for enhancement of computational and other facilities to existing infrastructure to make adequate resources available.
College will encourage faculty to take up active research by providing incentives on research publications, sanction leave if research work demands use of research facilities and expertise outside the college.
Management will provide grant / financial assistance for Minor research projects on approval of the proposals submitted by faculty to research committee.
Management will provide seed money for starting Research Projects.
Research centre will organise Research Colloquium in the first Saturday of every month. Seminars, Hands on workshops, training on instrumentation for skill development of faculty members.
Access to research journals and e resources to be arranged by Library and information centre.
Faculty will be encouraged and guided to participate and organize conferences/seminars to become a part of the community of scholars at national and international level.
Research Coordinator will initiate and monitor all research needs of faculty and students through centralised research centre and work for research quality enhancement.
Research centre will provide latest updates on conferences, hands on workshops, guidelines for writing research proposals, conferences available at local, national, and International level and funding opportunities.
